Wrestling to Beat the Streets DC announces Fall Virtual Speaker Line Up

WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 16, 2020) - We miss working with our student-athletes and know that the last few months have been tough. The uncertainty of looking forward can be hard. While we wish that we could provide on the mat coaching, due to health and safety concerns we are not able to conduct our programs in person.

Wrestling to Beat the Streets DC is excited to continue offering a virtual community gathering via Wrestling Wednesday,” a weekly virtual series through Zoom that will offer workouts, mentoring, and motivation. Attendees are invited to meet every Wednesday from 4 pm-5 pm EST.

“When the in-person wrestling season was cut short due to Covid-19 back in March, Wrestling to Beat the Streets DC offered a virtual space for building positive relationships and motivation every week via Zoom on "Throwdown Thursdays. Our school programs remain heavily impacted due to COVID. We’re concerned for all our student-athletes and want to keep them connected to the sport of wrestling. Through Wrestling Wednesday, we are staying connected and adapting to new and creative ways to support and educate our student-athletes,” said Geary Fitzpatrick Executive Director of Wrestling to Beat the Streets DC.
